Dr. Oliver M. Habel has worked for many years as a lawyer at the interface of technology and law in drafting German and international contracts, litigation/arbitration, data protection in and for companies. His approach to client work is geared towards practical relevance with an economic orientation, and legally towards in-depth advice with a focus on solving problems and concluding business transactions.

Areas of specialization are

• German and international contract drafting, in particular in project business in the IT and Internet, mechanical and plant engineering, medical technology and intralogistics systems sectors; from turn-key projects to classic software license and hardware distribution agreements. He has particular experience in the legal management of projects in crisis.
• Legal structuring of new business models in e-commerce and IoT devices / big data applications.
• Litigation/arbitration with technical issues.
• Data protection, in particular for new business models and cross-border data transfer.
