The future of the insolvency-proof software licence agreement
Organiser:
Organisation pro Software Escrow e.V., Munich (OSE)
Place, Date:
Friday 25 January 2008, Haus der Bayrischer Wirtschaft (Max-Joseph-Straße 5), Munich
Summary:
The 3rd OSE Symposium followed on almost seamlessly from the results of the two previous events. The initiative § 108a InsO was uniformly seen as a step in the right direction.
Overall, one of the results of the symposium was that the construct of software escrow has become increasingly popular within the group of ‘IT professionals’ over the last few years. ? with and without a legal background – has become much better known and more important. The recent ‘accolade’ of the escrow ? the inclusion of the terminology in the EVB-IT ? is expected to strongly support this trend.
